Artwork
This is a glimpse into Ida Haag's artistic world.
Ida's work extends across drawing, painting, books and sculpture, with recurring characters, emotions and visual languages gradually forming the world of Ismanien.
Each work carries its own story, while at the same time belonging to a world in which characters, memories and emotions continually intersect.

25 Years To Go
2024
Acrylic on canvas
33 × 41 cm
This work is about movement, impulse and the difficult moment of knowing when to stop.
The 25 squares were originally introduced as part of an external requirement for an anniversary exhibition. They were not intended to belong to the painting, yet ultimately became part of its rhythm.
Other elements arrived without planning. Drops fell from the brush and were allowed to remain. A forceful yellow gesture emerged from a moment of frustration and became part of the finished work.
The painting captures something central to Ida Haag's process: the tension between continuing and letting go. A painting can always receive another layer, another thought, another emotion. Sometimes the most important decision is simply to stop — and allow the unexpected to remain.
